About Dr. Meghan Lewis

She holds a PhD from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology with specializations in both perinatal psychology and somatic (body-mind) wellness. Her professional experience also includes a postdoctoral clinical internship at the Women's Therapy Center (El Cerrito, CA), offered preconception consultations and fertility services at Maia Midwifery & Preconception Services (Berkeley, CA) and At Home Fertility Services (San Francisco, CA), as a reproductive health specialist at Planned Parenthood (Concord, CA), and as a prenatal and postpartum support group facilitator at Blossom Birth Services (Palo Alto, CA) and at the Tulip Grove (Oakland, CA). Additionally, she has led support groups at Bloom Retreat for Mothers and Children (Walnut Creek, CA), at Natural Resources (San Francisco, CA), Our Family Coalition (San Francisco, CA), at BirthWays (Berkeley, CA), and has worked at Then Comes Baby (Oakland, CA).

Meghan is the founder of LGBTQ Perinatal Wellness Center in Oakland, lgbtqperinatalassociates.org. She has written for the East Bay Express' weekly parenting column, Kid You Not, and was the Alternative Reproductive Technologies (ART) Guide and writer for ESME, Empowering Solo Mothers Everywhere.
